Producer Visit:

David Sautereau from Sancerre

David Sautereau from Domaine Sautereau will be at Bond Street on Thursday, April 14th from 4:30pm-7:30pm. This is a great opportunity to drop in and speak casually with David and taste his estate's popular Sancerre. As the weather is getting warmer, it's the perfect time to consider David's refreshing white wine. As this will be a casual event, feel free to stop in for a quick taste or to linger. The Sancerre will be available for immediate purchase.

Please RSVP by emailing ashlee@bondstreetimports.com, or calling (704) 521-1353 by April 13th.

Sancerre Blanc 2008Sautereau Sancerre 2009

Varietal: 100% Sauvignon Blanc

Nearly clear in the glass with just a touch of color reflecting the absence of oak. Inviting and ripe nose with a hint of citrus and flowers. Middle is clean and complex with the continuation of the nose blending with bright chalk mineral. The finish is crisp and refreshing with a lingering sense of mineral, citrus and a touch of herbs that make your mouth water. Enjoy now with goat cheese, salads, shellfish and lightly flavored fish.

About Domaine David Sautereau

David Sautereau

Located in the bucolic village of Crézancy near the hillside town of Sancerre, young and energetic David represents the 9th generation of winemakers in the Sautereau family.

David cultivates on his own 6 hectares in Crézancy, as well as in the nearby village of Bué, with both providing interesting limestone soil characteristics. The estate's Sancerre is vinified at low-temperature in stainless steel tanks, and then kept on its lees for nearly five months prior to bottling. Through a judicious blend of traditional and modern winemaking techniques, this Sancerre melds bright sauvignon blanc fruit and floral aromas along with typical Sancerre mineral notes, all backed with good concentration and richness.

Update:

Cru Wine Club

After receiving many requests we are excited to announce the launch of The Cru Club that will provide an easy way for you to receive monthly deliveries of wine from Bond Street. This program is a great way to have a consistent supply of high quality wines on hand that will allow you to revisit some of your favorite wines as well as experiment with new labels that you many not have had the chance to experience.

As a member of The Cru Club you will receive 6 bottles of wine each month, either:

3 whites and 3 reds; or

3 each of two red selections

You can also choose from two price levels:

Silver, with an average price of $25; or

Gold, with an average price of $45

Importantly, we will provide a 10% discount for all wines sold via this program. This discount will also apply to all re-orders of these the wines for one month after the initial shipment (while supplies last).

Cru Club wines will be shipped 11 months of the year (we will exclude August). There is no membership fee, and you can opt out at any time with no penalty. You will be charged upon each shipment for the exact value of the wine (plus applicable taxes and shipping costs). You will also receive an email letting you know when the wine is scheduled for shipping so we can handle any logistical challenges that may arise or you can elect to pick-up the wine at our store.

To sign up for the program, simply call us at 704-521-1353 and ask for Ashlee, email your rep, or reply to this email and we will get you signed up.
