Domaine du Tix - Cuvee de Bramefan 2007
Domaine du Tix - Cuv茅e de Bramefan 2007 (Red Blend)
Our Price: $24.00

Forward nose of jammy fruits that reflect the syrah and berry Grenache. Slightly firm, but ripe and focused, with racy dark berry fruit, sweet spice and applewood notes, followed by a long, tarry finish. Opens nicely in the glass. Drink now through 2012. Very versatile with food, ranging from heavy poultry dishes through lighter meat and pasta dishes. 1,500 cases made.
Domaine du Tix Cuvee Donna Maria
Domaine Du Tix Cuvee Donna Maria
Our Price: $29.00

The 2009 Cuvee Dona Maria is a deep ruby color with inviting aromas of licorice, berries and Chambord. This cuvee is 80% grenache with 20% syrah and displays the classic grenache character as a fuller bodied red with solid structure of medium firm tannin. The finish is long with a continuation of the fruit to be expected from 2009 grenache coupled with a touch of mushroom earthiness and pepper. Drink now through 2015.
Den, Dulk & Siddle (DDS) - DDS Driefontein Shiraz 2004
Den, Dulk & Siddle (DDS) - DDS Driefontein Shiraz 2004
Our Price: $34.00

Rich, dark color. Huge wild nose with dark fruit, coffee, leather, and hazelnut. Smooth and silky mid palate with a berry fruit blast. Lingering finish that returns to the nose in profile. Big wine that balances the sophistication we expect from a De Toren wine, and the fruit we want from a southern hemisphere Shiraz.
Jean-Michel Gerin - C么te-R么tie "Champin Le Seigneur" 2008
Our Price: $49.00

It鈥檚 clear immediately that the 2008 is different. Very dark in the glass as the fruit from Les Grandes Places and La Landonne have added their power and influence to this blend. The nose is impressive and shows significant violet flowers, leather and dark berry aromas. The palate if full and clean at the same time as the spice and mineral add their influence to the nose. Powerful and sophisticated, the finish is very impressive as balance was achieved in this most difficult vintage. Serve with full flavored game and meats. Drinking well now, but should last an additional 5-7 years with no difficulty. An amazing wine that should outshine any muted expectations from 2008.

Jean-Michel Gerin - C么te-R么tie "Les Grandes Places" 2004
Jean-Michel Gerin - C么te-R么tie "Les Grandes Places" 2007
Our Price: $125.00

Another big wine and great example of C么te-R么tie with 100% syrah. Note is powerful with notes of violet, currant and anise with plenty of smokey minerals. The wine is full and powerful and will stand-up to full flavored meats, mushrooms and game. The layered flavors attach the palate and the finish is long with smoke, olives and ripe tannin. This is a wine for the cellar as it will age well for 15+ years. However, it's drinking very well now due to the ample fruit in the ripe vintage. 325 cases produced.
