Maison Alex Gambal Vineyards - Bourgogne Pinot Noir "Cuvée les deux Papis" 2008
Maison Alex Gambal Vineyards - Bourgogne Pinot Noir "Cuvée les deux Papis" 2008
Our Price: $30.00

From Alex Gambal Winery:
We were hit by a severe hail storm on Saturday afternoon July 26 and lost 50% of our crop. The only positive out of this situation was that it was early in the season and the damaged grapes dried and fell off prior to harvest. As a result we produced only 24 HL/HA. After a prolonged malolactic fermentation we bottled the wine in September 2009. The result is a wine that is predominated by black fruits, with a pure nose and long finish. We only made 600 cases in 2008 with 15% new oak.
Jean-Michel Gerin - Condrieu "La Loye" 2007
Jean-Michel Gerin - Condrieu "La Loye" 2007
Our Price: $45.00
Sale Price: $32.00

Plenty of ripeness on the nose as would be expected from 2007. Peach, gardenias, and some tropical flavors on the nose. Balanced acid offsets the ripeness of the fruit that covers the palate. The finish is surprisingly mineral driven given the fruit forward nose indicating that the viognier was harvested on time without developing any flabbiness at all. Given the ripeness of the vintage, drink it now. Enjoy with fish, cream based soups, or on its own. 1,150 cases made.

The wine is soft and balanced in the mid palate with strong chardonnay influence and the forward fruit finishes in a crisp and refreshing way with strength and structure being contributed by the Pinot Noir.
Michel Loriot Champagne - Cuvée Prestige NV
Michel Loriot Champagne - Cuvée Prestige, NV
Our Price: $39.00

The fruit of a subtle blend of Pinot Meunier (70%) and Chardonnay (30%), mostly from a single harvest, this Champagne reveals unique aromas combining touches of berries and notes of white flowers. Its golden yellow color with a light glint charms you at the very first glance. This blend and almost three years of aging give Cuvee Prestige its exceptional finesse and incredible lightness that works well for the even those who typically do not drink champagne due to its “sharpness.” Perfect for a toast, but also works great with food as the small bubbles and relatively light carbonation allow the wine’s fruit to express itself with many food combinations.
Château des Trois Origines - Saint-Émilion Grand Cru 2009 (750 ML)
Château des Trois Origines - Saint-Émilion Grand Cru 2009 (750 ML)
Our Price: $39.00

Dark ruby-red with perfumed aromas of black cherry, licorice and a touch of smoke. Fruit-driven, with juicy liqueur flavors and serious depth for a Saint-Émilion wine without the Grand Cru designation. There are notes of cigar box and pomegranate throughout, with a touch of earthy coco. The finish exhibits broad flavors whose tannins are soft and expressive. This wine will stand-up to full flavored foods such as beef, short ribs, or stews. The soft tannin will provide appeal to a broad range of palates, and the wine and color cling to the glass. Drinking great now after a decanting and should easily last another 7-10 years. 300 Cases produced.

Also available in 1.5L Magnum
Eric Isselée Champagne - Cuvée Rosé NV
Eric Isselée Champagne - Cuvée Rosé NV
Our Price: $42.00

The wine is 15% pinot noir vintified as red still wine blended with chardonnay and pinot meunier, leading to a delightful salmon-pink tint. The wine has a hint of a fruity nose that is very inviting and a full, but not powerful palate that make the wine a great aperitif or accompaniment to a berry tart. The finish is refreshing, clean and soft. Though light, this champagne is not overly effervescent and will therefore be very comfortable with light meals, even poultry. Fantastic stuff for a celebration, or an afternoon meal.

A fresh clean, classic Meursault with bright crisp yet ripe full flavors. Intense flavors that include apple, pear, and hazelnut notes. Eric Isselée Champagne - Cuvée Tradition 2002
Jean-Michel Gerin - Condrieu "La Loye" 2008
Our Price: $45.00

The challenging 2008 vintage presented a very floral and structured wine. The nose is of white flowers and anise. The body is fully developed and the mid-palate full, but with added acid and zip on the finish. White peach and mild apple flavors mingle with a keen minerality. Enjoy now or for the next 4-5 years with a variety of cheeses, seafood or on its own. Especially good with the 2008 is goat cheese.
Eric Isselée Champagne - Cuvée Tradition 2004
Eric Isselée Champagne - Cuvée Tradition 2004
Our Price: $49.00

This 100% chardonnay champagne reflects the quality of the 2004 vintage with great balance of power, fruit and acid. The nose has bountiful fruit, and mineral that prepares the drinker for the full-bodied flavor to come. Very smooth and shows great depth. The finish is long and refined and leaves a finish of pear, apple and mineral. It would go very well with a meal such as duck breast or a light fish. Because it is so well balanced, this champagne would please the most discriminating palate in raising a toast for the most special occasion or as a pleasing aperitif. 200 Cases produced.
Jean-Michel Gerin - Côte-Rôtie "Champin Le Seigneur" 2008
Our Price: $49.00

It’s clear immediately that the 2008 is different. Very dark in the glass as the fruit from Les Grandes Places and La Landonne have added their power and influence to this blend. The nose is impressive and shows significant violet flowers, leather and dark berry aromas. The palate if full and clean at the same time as the spice and mineral add their influence to the nose. Powerful and sophisticated, the finish is very impressive as balance was achieved in this most difficult vintage. Serve with full flavored game and meats. Drinking well now, but should last an additional 5-7 years with no difficulty. An amazing wine that should outshine any muted expectations from 2008.
